Birthday Parties at the office: 10 tips

Taking time to celebrate the birthdays of your employees is important. For this reason, an event budget plan is a tool for getting everything under control and achieving the set goal without nasty surprises. So, having a clear budget allows you to identify the goals, opportunities, but also limitations in organizing an event. Here are some ways to celebrate the office’s birthday in an inexpensive way:

1. Volunteering

An extra day to volunteer is something refreshing. There is always so much to do, and so many people to help: orphans, the elderly, and the homeless. So, it actually is the perfect way to celebrate the company’s willingness to do good and make employees proud of their work.

2. Toast

One of the best celebrations is the champagne toast, especially if proposed by the Board of Directors. In fact, it gives us the chance to spend a little bit of free time with colleagues.

3. Offer cake and desserts

You can decorate cakes and desserts with the company logo. This is a great idea to celebrate the office’s birthday in an expensive way.

4. Hang banners at headquarters and local offices

Let everyone know about the company’s birthday through banners hung in the office. Some companies also add employee photos.

5. Create personalized pins

Distributing pins is a common practice for companies where employees already wear badges and interact in person with customers.

6. Display some billboards

Show potential customers the company’s birthday announcement. You can do so through a billboard near the company headquarters.

7. Order a branded birthday piñata

Fill a piñata with corporate gadgets and candies.

8. Give an extra day of paid leave

This is a great way to say “thank you” and offer employees some extra time to take a break, relax, and fully understand their accomplishments.

9. Corporate open day

This day is a nice chance to show workspaces. An open day is chosen to open the doors of one’s business. The goal is to host anyone interested in the day-to-day business reality, and physically show off workplaces and spaces. Employees and contractors could take the opportunity to show their families the workplace. Apart from that, of course, they celebrate this exciting milestone with them.

  1. Team building event to strengthen the group

What better way to celebrate the company anniversary than to strengthen, reward, and thank the team? Such an important milestone is the ideal time and opportunity to do team building. Build a team that is even closer and ready to be a team player as well. There are many activities you can choose from. For example, some are more traditional, like whitewater rafting and beach volleyball. Others are a little different from the usual, like escape rooms or orienteering. Celebrating the Office’s Birthday means celebrating a really important milestone for a company, whatever its size it is. Certainly, the corporate birthday event can be turned into an excellent communication and marketing tool. So, this aims at employees, contractors, and customers. As a result, the company that reaches an important milestone shows itself to everyone as solid and credible. Therefore, it’s a reassuring aspect for the years to come.
