Vacation in a Few Days: How to Relax in a Short Time

Short-term rest (3-4 days) is best suited for those who cannot leave their work for a week or two. If you check work mail, do tasks, and take a laptop to the beach during holidays, you won’t relax, and recharge as expected. However, in order for such a short rest to be beneficial, you should follow the tips below.

Scheduled time
Try to complete all urgent matters before the start of a long weekend, and not urgent ones – transfer them to working days after them. This way, you will have the opportunity not to take up work during the holidays. What’s more, it’s important to properly plan your time here. Firstly, it will increase productivity and you will be able to quickly deal with tasks. Secondly, you won’t enter the weekend tired, after working at night, and with a desire only to sleep, maximum – watch the series.
Rest format
A properly chosen format of rest will help you get the necessary boost of energy. But here it all depends on personal preferences. For example, for someone, a roll from one sofa to another, with a visit to the kitchen from time to time, may well be suitable for relaxation. Yet the majority of office workers (as well as remote workers) get a boost of energy from outdoor activities. For example, moving between cities, walking, fresh air – it doesn’t matter the mountains or the sea. Actually, it is after such a rest that it becomes easier to sit at the computer all day.
Thoughtful rest: vacation
If you are planning a trip to another country or an unfamiliar city for several days, it is better to think over your vacation in advance. Unplanned days are suitable only for a beach holiday: bask in the sun, swim – there is nothing to plan. However, vacation in a city filled with historical sights and tourist must-haves should be planned before starting. After all, it can often take about an hour just to choose a restaurant, which is better spent on an interesting attraction.
Correct Mode
While on vacation, the temptation is to sleep off all the early work rises, but don’t give in to it. Too much sleep reduces serotonin levels, which provokes headaches and general exhaustion. In this state, you definitely don’t want to walk around the city, look at the sights and be active.

“No!” work
This is the most important rule, without which you will not be able to relax on the weekend, or on vacation, under any circumstances. If you really want to benefit from your productivity, don’t take your work with you. Our ancestors did so much to establish a 5-day work week with holidays and sick days. So, we should be ashamed when we turn on the computer and do work instead of resting.

Not everyone can spend a weekend at the seaside. If you haven’t decided how you’re going tospend this weekend yet, here’s what to avoid:
Cleaning and other household chores
The routine will not give a feeling of relaxation.
Constantly being at home
The usual worries and problems will still captivate you at home. If you do not plan to go anywhere, at least leave the house during the day. For example, walk in the park, sit on the banks of the local river, read a book on the bench at the entrance.
Using gadgets
They overload with negative information, and this is not what you need on vacation.
Work
Repeat this again to consolidate the material.
No matter how you decide to spend this weekend, get ready before you go to work: rest, choose work clothes, plan your first day after rest. Also, be sure to go to bed earlier. If you follow all the rules, you will be able to get the most out of even a short rest.
