In today’s World, globalization is a must. It connects every kind of people and cultures to each other. In globalization, blogging is a specific tool for international reach. But today, AI tools are used for writing, translation, which is sometimes near-human level. These machines are the embodiment of perfectionism

Moreover, these machines can do almost everything that they are structured to the quite complex works. They can do multiple tasking and do that with upmost precision. So, that’s why the futurists say that the AI will make millions of people unemployed. Dario Amodei told that: “AI could wipe out half of all entry-level white-collar jobs — and spike unemployment to 10-20% in the next one to five years”

The Progress of AI Tools

AI tools have developed too much in the recent years. From not being able to do a basic videos, or not being able to do a translation accurately to creating human level products. Thus, these machines are time and cost efficient as they sometimes do what the humans cannot do. Moreover, today, sharing a blog to multiple countries is easy as the machines translate the blogs.

These achievements have been made especially recent years, and this is sort of terrifying. Progressing with such speed is a something we must focus on. We are only trying to understand such machines to our limits. These machines might need more control over them. Like, Chatgpt, Deepl and many more AI tools are getting progression too often and recently.

Benefits to Bloggers

These machines are quite beneficial for bloggers as they reduce the time consumption and effort that is spent. If anyone use the machines, then the spent time and effort decreases to a certain extent. Therefore, bloggers can benefit from them if they know how to use them. Like, the bloggers can use AI to do post-editing.

The bloggers can do post-edition with more precision because AI is quite advanced at that side. Still, if the person who does the job blindly trusts AI, which even AI can make mistakes in post-editing, the results might be not the one that is wanted to be. AI can be good to some extent in translation and edition works; but it still cannot overcome the culture specific items’ problems.

Thoughts about AI

As about examples, James Breiner (2023) he mentions his experiments in AI tools for Spanish translation. Furthermore, he says that: “AI has made translation tools better.” Moreover, he gives examples for words like “afrontar” and “abordar”. Google uses the first and Deepl uses the latter for the English meaning “deal with” problems.

Some futurists think that AI will advance to a level that it will be able to do everything that humans do, but it might take place in a far future. Moreover, the co-existion between humans and AI is a thing that will come in the future or at least it should be existing according to them.

Common Challenges of AI Translation

As it is good, the AI translation lacks something very crucial, culture. AI cannot differentiate the cultural terms. This causes problems in translation of, for example, literary, advertisement and so on. Thus, this can cause mistranslation in the texts. Moreover, the meaning might be different than it normally should have been.

AI, despite being advancing with a high speed, still cannot overcome the most specific problems. Like, culture specific items, literary, art, which are things that require creativity and complex processing. As a translator, I would like to say that AI needs to be “something else” if it wants to be like humans. Humans’ creativity and improvisation are something that AI cannot achieve for now or never.

If AI progresses as the futurists predict, then it should be able to comprehend quite advanced and complex processes. Still, humans’ unpredictability in real life situations is still something that it might not be able to achieve ever, as it requires more than just “thinking” or “processing”.

Conclusion

In conclusion, AI is an extremely beneficial tool for bloggers as they can use it in several steps and reduce the effort and time they are spending. Still, AI needs a correction from humans and the future of AI can be either result as complex machine or less than that. Moreover, the common challenges of AI have to be overcome.

Despite these all, AI is the 21st century’s one of the biggest achievements. Using it for the benefit of people, is an extremely crucial. Its benefits and positive sides are more than its negative sides. Still, controlling AI is a thing that we should never stop doing. Blog writing has changed dramatically thanks to it but still humans should be the one controlling it.
